The role of bearings

The role of the bearing should be support, that is, the literal interpretation is used to support the shaft, but this is only part of its role, the essence of support is to be able to bear radial loads. Can also be understood as it is used to fix the shaft. It is to fix the shaft so that it can only achieve rotation, and control its axial and radial movement. The consequence of a motor without bearings is that it cannot work at all. Because the shaft can move in any direction, the shaft can only be rotated when the motor is working. In theory, it is impossible to realize the role of transmission. Not only that, the bearing will also affect the transmission. In order to reduce this effect, good lubrication must be achieved on the bearings of high-speed shafts. Some bearings already have lubrication, called pre-lubricated bearings. Most bearings must be lubricated. When running at high speeds, friction not only increases energy consumption, it is even more terrible that the bearings are easily damaged.

What effect does lubricating oil have on bearings?

Whether it is a rolling bearing or a sliding bearing, when the shaft rotates, the rotating part and the stationary part cannot directly contact, otherwise it will be damaged due to friction and ripeness. To prevent friction between dynamic and static parts, a lubricant must be added. The effect of lubricants on bearings is mainly manifested in three aspects: lubrication, cooling and cleaning.

Bearings can be divided into many types, rolling bearings, radial bearings, ball bearings, thrust bearings and so on. In terms of its role, it should be a support, that is, the literal interpretation is used to support the shaft, but this is only part of its role, and the essence of support is to be able to bear radial loads. Can also be understood as it is used to fix the shaft. It is to fix the shaft so that it can only achieve rotation, and control its axial and radial movement.

What is the role of the clutch release bearing?

The clutch release bearing is a thrust bearing (commonly known as a clutch pinion disk), and its function is to move the pressure plate or drive plate that bears the spring thrust toward the clutch housing when the clutch pedal is depressed, that is, when the clutch pedal is depressed Tilt the release lever to overcome the pressure of the pressure plate spring to complete the release of the clutch.

The release lever of the clutch rotates with the pressure plate, but the operating mechanism linked with the clutch pedal cannot rotate. In order to adapt to different motion conditions between the two, thrust bearings are used to reduce friction and wear.

If the release bearing loses its sliding effect due to lack of oil, it will not only produce abnormal noise, but also increase the Al point of the release point. The effective range of the clutch pedal starting pressure plate will become smaller and smaller. When the clutch plate and the pressure plate are not completely disengaged, there will be abnormal noise during gear shifting. The wear of the release lever may cause uneven or incomplete start of the pressure plate. The driving and the follower are interlinked, and finally the gear cannot be changed.
